I first named this quilt, "Enough is Enough," but this title sounded a bit like I was fed up and I wanted to stop. I changed the title to "There is Always Enough," because it expresses the thought that I can always trust the Universe to provide, even when appearance suggest otherwise. I can always see the cup as half full rather than half empty. But most important to remember that I am enough!

KINDNESS

Do something nice for someone today. Especially do something nice for the person who irritates you the most. If you can't do something nice for the person who most irritates you, then at least think of some nice things to do for yourself! Be kind to yourself. Do something nice for yourself first. In the end, kindness is all that really matters, anyway. We all have our bad days, but if we remember kindness our day is immediately improved! And if we are kind to others you can notice how much kindness is returned and this makes you feel great!

Open Studios

Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22, 11am-5pm

Please come and see this fabulous group of artists, and stop by studio 4 to see my work. I'll have art quilts (as Usual), Little Bags of Affirmations, cards, CD's, small artworks. Come see my large Tree quilt in progress.

For this Open Studios Event, nearly 20 artists specializing in oil, water color, acrylic, mixed medium, and pastel paintings, as well as jewelry, textiles, woodwork, photography and music, will open their working studios to the public. Artwork is available for sale. The Alameda Art Works now boasts one of the largest, most diverse and lively artists' communities in the Bay Area.

You may visit the Alameda Artworks Open Studios from 11 - 5 on Saturday, May 21, and from 11 - 5 on Sunday, May 22. Refreshments will be provided by the artists. Children are welcome; wheel chair accessible.
