"Bliss" (13.5"x41") is a commissioned quilt I just finished for my friend, Kath who wanted to recapture a blissful time in her life when she rode her horse, "Flicka." She also is a talented quilt maker so I included a quilt image on the left. Kath really liked my "Inspiration Quilts," but she wanted her own choice of words and for me to make a customized drawing for the piece. She sent me an old photo of herself on her horse for me to get an idea of what she and her horse looked like at the time. So I did the drawing and had it printed on 100% silk. I love how the image turned out. I found just the colors of fabric that I know Kath would respond to; sewed the quilt together, machine quilted it and sewed the binding around the edge. I love the piece and Kath does too!

Being generous is letting go and allowing life to flow--not getting stuck in whether things look right or what people think. It's letting go of resistance and following your dreams; accepting what's right for you and not someone else's idea of the way you should be or what you should do.
