Musicians' Brains Keep Time - With One Another

"Ever wonder how musicians manage to play in unison? Credit their brain waves: they synchronize before and while musicians play a composition, according to new research."

Today at the Dog House

Dear DHM Family,

We've just finished up the whirlwind of fall activity, culminating in an awesome Fall Band Showcase at the Fox Theatre. We'd like to thank the four teen bands and a record-setting 2 adult bands for making the show a great time for everyone who attended.

Our spring programs are scheduled to begin in late January 2010 - please click the links below for details, or give us a call. We'd also like to take this opportunity to announce some DHM holiday specials:

Lesson Gift Package: An introductory lesson package of 4 half-hour lessons (or 2 hour lessons) for $75, a 15% discount.

Recording Gift Package:
Give the musician in your life 2 hours of live recording time in our showcase studio for $100, a $20 discount.

Camp Early Registration Bonus: Register for one of our spring programs before January 1 and receive a $25 discount - the perfect way to fix the post-holiday letdown.

We also offer gift certificates for rehearsal time and birthday parties - call or email us to purchase.

Finally, over the last several weeks, we've had some great bands in to rehearse: blues legend Willie Houston filming for CCTV54; Breathe Carolina prepping for their U.S./U.K. winter tour; and local a capella rock band Face making their audition video for NBC's new show The Sing-Off, where they'll be 1 of just 8 national vocal groups competing (details on how to vote).

We wish you happy holidays and safe driving - see you in the new year!

                 Thanks            Peace            Gary
