Today at the Dog House
Friends of DHM,
What an amazing month it's been at Dog House! Our Spring Band Showcase at the Fox was incredible - check out our flickr account for photos from the show.
Next week will be a great week for us and for several DHM teen bands, who will compete in an on-air Battle of the Bands with the news anchor band from Denver's Channel 2 'The Deuce'. We'll be featured each day on the morning show (7:00 to 9:00 am), with the winner announced Friday morning, so please tune in and vote for your favorite band! (DHM bands will be White as Night, the Grenettes, Pandamen, Burnt Toast and Watch 4 Wildlife.)
As in the last few years, we'll be providing sponsorship and sound for the Teen Stage at the Boulder Creek Festival, and offering free lessons at our booth (located near the stage). Please stop by, say hi, and get a free lesson!
We were incredibly proud to be featured in Boulder Weekly's Best of Boulder 2009 - Gary was named 'Best Local Teen Advocate'. He'll also be featured in an upcoming issue of the Boulder Women's Magazine, in the 'Men We Love' column.
In Studio A, we were excited to host blues singer Delores Scott for Boulder's CCTV54 Community TV, and also Denver-based Single File, as they finished up their new album and prepared for a major tour.
We're now prepping for summer camp, and want to introduce a few of our new summer band coaches: drummer Nate Barnes of Rose Hill Drive, Jimmy Stofer (original bass player with The Fray), local sax guru Mirco Altenbach, and Denver-based singer/songwriter Adam Lockwood. We're pleased to add these experienced and talented guys to our line-up; check out our Bio page for more details.
Finally, we'll be starting our next Adult Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp on Monday, May 11 - there's still time to register, so contact us ASAP if you're interested in participating.
Thanks Peace Gary |
