Today at the Dog House
Dear DHM family,
Ah, the end of summer - we are so excited about all the great music made over the summer, and looking forward to our fall programs. But we've also added an extra bonus week of Rock & Roll Camp for Teens by popular demand! If you'd like to attend August 11-15, please give us a call or send in your form this week.
On August 2, we did a special event at the Denver Children's Hospital for patients and families - DHM teen bands The Quicksand Blues Project, Something Provokative, A Dog Named Cooper, and Tara Leilani each played a set. Even though the whoel shebang was moved inside at the last minute (it was HOT!) the kids had a great time. We plan to do another show over the holiday season, as well as repeating the outdoor concert next spring.
We also sponsored three teen bands at the seventh annual Kids Public Safety Day hosted by the Lafayette Police Department on July 18. The event also featured the Lafayette Fire Department, Colorado Flight for Life, and the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders (stop by the front office to check out our autographed photo).
Later this month we'll be providing sound at both stages at KidsFringe, a part of the Boulder International Fringe Festival showcasing music and art by kids and teens- please come down to the Boulder Band Shell to check out this fun (and free) event!
Finally, in July we were pleased to host the Hill Country Revue, featuring members of the North Mississippi Allstars, in Studio A as they prepared for the Mile High Music Fest. We hope you've all had as much fun this summer as we have - campers and parents, please keep an eye out for the Camp Satisfaction Survey coming out later this month. Thanks, as always, for your support!
Thanks Peace Gary
