Today at the Dog House

Welcome to the first 2008 DHM newsletter. We hope you had a relaxing holiday break, and wish you all a happy and musical new year!
Next week we'll be attending the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA -- several teachers and other Dog House partners will be going along to help make new connections for DHM and the Camp programs. Once we return, we'll start preparing for the Spring Intensive Rock & Roll Workshop, which starts March 1. As in fall 2007, our final performance will be at the Fox Theatre, so don't miss your opportunity to play this great venue in front of a big (friendly) crowd.
In January we also hope to launch our redesigned website, with help from our new web designer Jason Ackerman. Not only is Jason going to improve our web functionality and style, he's also a local musician -- a match made in heaven for us!
In December we were really excited to host Rose Hill Drive in Studio A for several days. We also got to catch their show at the Boulder Theater, and were impressed by the multi-generational crowd there to see Toys in the Attic plus some RHD originals.
Finally, we're happy to announce we'll be sponsors again for the CHUN People's Fair in June -- this is a great opportunity to play for a huge crowd. The Ultimate Music Xperience auditions are a major event, and DHM will be providing backline for UMX at Bender's Tavern on March 29 and 30. Applications for the People's Fair (available in the main office) are due January 18.
Thanks Peace Gary | |
