Welcome to the new, improved Dog House Music newsletter! Please feel free to use the unsubscribe link above if you'd prefer not to get these emails. It's been an exciting summer at Dog House; camp attendance this year is almost double last year! To accomodate the crowd, the venue for most Friday shows has changed to the Boulder Outlook Hotel, thanks to friend and local music supporter Dan King. We've also comfirmed a date at the Fox Theater for bands completing the fall Intensive Workshop series.

Check out the articles at left -- Dog House was in the news often during the summer. Last week I was invited down to Fox31 for an in-studio interview, along with camper Dylan McCarthy and mom Megan. The crew also got footage of bands during the camp, and the clip aired July 31.

We've also been busy with some big clients over the summer: William Topley, Mat KearneyModest Mouse and The Fray all put in some hours in Studio A. (Overheard outside A last week: "Hey, that band's doing Modest Mouse covers!" Little did they know...)

Hope you all are finishing up a great summer -- campers and parents, keep an eye out for our Summer Camp Feedback Survey, coming soon.

Thanks            Peace            Gary

Program Info and Deadlines

Intensive Teen Workshop Series

DHM will begin the fall session Intensive Rock & Roll Workshop for Teens in September (view flyer here.). This program teaches teens the fundamentals of songwriting, music promotion, and live performance; in the past, bands going through this program have had the opportunity to play their final show in great local venues including the Fox Theatre. We can accommodate existing bands or individual players. Returning students call Gary for information; new students please fill out this registration form (PDF file). Please note that we've changed the price for the Saturday camp to $325 to allow more bands access to this program.

Adult Rock Fantasy Camp

DHM's five-session Adult Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp aslo begins in September. This camp is geared towards new adult players, and those wanting to return to music. Attendees will receive instruction from our teaching staff, and work with other adult players to learn covers or write original songs, with a final performace for family/friends. Parents of DHM campers, this is for you -- why should your teens have all the fun?
