Head Start Christmas Children to Adopt
Good afternoon!
I have received the list of the 85 preschoolers from the Reveille Dr. location of Head Start. We still have kids left to adopt.
Can you help?
If your answer is YES,
- Contact Georgia Neitzey at mneitzey1@comcast.net or 281-221-4035 to select a child or children.
- You will be given the name(s), gender, age, clothing and shoe sizes for your child.
- Purchase a toy, outfit and pair of shoes for them.
- Wrap the gifts and place them in a large bag.
- Deliver the gifts to St. Andrews by December 12th and put them under the Head Start Christmas Tree OR to Georgia's house in Silverlake.
- The gifts will be delivered to Head Start at the end of that week. Interested in helping with delivery? Contact Georgia!
Thank you for your continued support for these precious children! |

Andy2Go
Friends,
Andy2Go #3 this past weekend was fantastic. We had 369 worshipers and almost 100 guests. Thanks to all who hosted.
I would love feedback (good or bad) from
- Those who went
- Those who chose to stay home
You both have things we need to hear. I personally will contact some of you if I don't here back. We want to serve St. Andrew's and the community in the name of Christ.
The Diocese of Texas recognized our work and we had another Episcopal church come to learn from us.

Safeguarding God's Children Training
Safeguarding God's Children is a training program for the prevention of sexual abuse of children and youth. The training informs participants of the ways predators gain access to and groom children for abuse and it outlines the safeguards the Church has put in place to protect children and youth in our churches, schools and diocesan institutions.
The Diocese of Texas requires this training for all employees (full or part-time) of churches, schools and Diocesan institutions and for all volunteers who work with children and youth in any ministry setting.
St. Andrew's recommends Safeguarding God's Children to all adults of the parish and requires it of all employees, leadership of the church and all adult participants in any phase of work directly with children or youth. This includes all scouting groups and school youth groups, and non-church children's activities. There are no exceptions.
Training:
Date: January 14, 2012
Time: 9:00 am - Noon
Childcare provided upon request
RSVP - Anne Harland anneharland@sbcglobal.net |

Quin Loan Pay Off
The leadership of St. Andrew's has some GREAT NEWS to share with you.
As you know, we were all committed to retiring our Building (Quin) Debt Loan. We are happy to report that by year's end, we will have paid off the Quin Loan. This leaves us with two building loans left to retire. One we are taking care of out of our regular giving and one to the Diocese of Texas.
We thank God and you for your participation in making this possible. You have made a difference in the life of the church and the community as a whole. With the Quin Loan being taken care of, the leadership would like to ask this of you:
Would you consider continuing (or starting up if you are newer to St. Andrew's and have not pledged to the Capital Budget) your support?
· You can continue/start by making payments marked "Capital." This will be used to retire additional debt or to fund deferred maintenance.
· You can add what you would have been (or will begin) paying to your regular Operating Giving. Operating money keeps us going day-to-day. Capital money takes on long term goals and debt.
Whatever you give will be working both inside and outside the church to fulfill our mission to bring Christ's love to the world.
Your stewardship is important to us as an individual church and also to God and the Christian way of life
With the above thoughts in mind, please prayerfully consider your continued support, either in Capital or Operating donations to the Mission and Ministry of St. Andrew's. Once again, thank you all for what we have accomplished together.
Yours in Christ,
Merv Taylor, Treasurer

You Must Renew for 2011-12
Support St. Andrew's through your shopping at Kroger.
Click this link.
We earned over $2,000 last year by linking our Kroger Cards to St. Andrew's. A percentage of each purchase went to fund our ministries. Each year, we must relink our Kroger Card. If you haven't linked your Kroger card, click the link above and follow the directions.
Thank you for supporting St. Andrew's in this way.
