The Chrismon Tree ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The decorated tree in the worship area is called a Chrismon Tree. The Chrismon tree is highly symbolic, conveying the life of Christ and the meaning of Christmas through commonly found items. The tree symbolizes the eternal life, which our Savior has won for us, forms the background for the white, crystal, and gold Chrismon ornaments. The lights speak of Him who is the light of the world, and the Chrismon ornaments --CHRISMON = CHRIST+MONOgram --proclaim the name, the life, and the saving acts of Jesus Christ. Our Chrismon ornaments are simple copies of Christian symbols.
