SAVE THE DATE - Saturday, November 14 from 8 am until noon.
Once again it is time for us to spruce up the campus at St. Andrew's. St. Andrew's is OUR church and we need to take care of it. At the last workday, we completed over 70 tasks in 4 hours. The list is longer this time, so we are asking everyone to work at least 1 hour. We have projects for all ages and abilities. Tasks include painting, gardening, cleaning and carpentry. Speaking of carpentry, I am looking for someone or a group of people that can build some book shelves in one of the classrooms. I also need some help with serving breakfast and manning the table to hand out work tasks. Let me know what you want to do (ed.woodward@att.net or 281-728-8961). I'll also be signing people up after both services.
Thanks, Ed Woodward |

| Learn About Other Faiths
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For the past two years, Christine and I have hosted a dinner for people of all (and no) faiths to get together for a simple meal and discussion. Discussion questions are supplied and the conversation is constructed so that people talk about their faith and not defend it or try to win others over. The night is safe, moderated and fun. Christine and I have been blessed by the Jews, Muslims, Atheists and various Christians who have been in our home. We would like to encourage you to attend one of these dinners of 8-10 people. It is worth the time. Greater Houston Area Dinner Dialogues NOVEMBER 12, 2009 6:30pm to 9:30pm To learn more of sign up, go to http://www.amazingfaiths.org/index.php Jim Liberatore
The Advent Event
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Join us for The Advent Event!
What's The Advent Event? It is a time to plan for Christmas. Advent is the church season before Christmas. Advent is meant to be a time where Christians prepare for Christmas.
Together, we (all ages) will meet in the Parish Hall between the services to make Advent Calendars. Information on Advent will also be provided in order to make Christmas even better by our preparation for Jesus.
We will make Advent calendars out of felt. You will be able to reuse them each year. Each day, one of the calendar flaps reveals an act of preparation for Jesus' coming for the family.
Sunday, November 29th
9:15 am - 10:15 am
Parish Hall
You can eat breakfast while making your calendar
No Cost, but we need a reservation from you in order to purchase materials.
