Learn About Other Faiths
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the past two years, Christine and I have hosted a dinner for people of all (and no) faiths to get together for a simple meal and discussion. Discussion questions are supplied and the conversation is constructed so that people talk about their faith and not defend it or try to win others over. The night is safe, moderated and fun.
Christine and I have been blessed by the Jews, Muslims, Atheists and various Christians who have been in our home.   We would like to encourage you to attend one of these dinners of 8-10 people. It is worth the time.
The Advent Event
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Join us for The Advent Event!

What's The Advent Event? It is a time to plan for Christmas. Advent is the church season before Christmas. Advent is meant to be a time where Christians prepare for Christmas.

Together, we (all ages) will meet in the Parish Hall between the services to make Advent Calendars. Information on Advent will also be provided in order to make Christmas even better by our preparation for Jesus.

 We will make Advent calendars out of felt. You will be able to reuse them each year. Each day, one of the calendar flaps reveals an act of preparation for Jesus' coming for the family.

 Sunday, November 29th

9:15 am - 10:15 am

Parish Hall

You can eat breakfast while making your calendar

 No Cost, but we need a reservation from you in order to purchase materials.

You are Generous! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not only have you generously given to the operations of our church, you have gone beyond that  to reduce our building loan. Our current Quin (loan holder) loan has a remaining balance of $264,412 after starting this year at just under $400,000. Even with the economy as it is, you have bucked the trend and poured out yourselves in real sacrifice for the mission and ministry of God at St. Andrews.
Thank you.

Discover the True Meaning of Christmas

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Purpose of Christmas features three sessions taught by Rick Warren on why we celebrate Christmas and how it can change our lives forever. At the very first Christmas - the birth of Jesus - an angel announced three things. In those three statements of the angel, we find the three purposes of Christmas. The three sessions on this DVD look at each of those purposes:
11/11   6:30 pm  - Christmas Is a Time for Celebration
 11/18   6:30 pm - Christmas Is a Time for Salvation
 12/2     6:30 pm  - Christmas Is a Time for Reconciliation
