Pumpkin Patch
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Pumpkin Patch is the biggest event of the year we put on for the community. It takes every member to make the Pumpkin Patch a success.
Pumpkin sales benefit the Navajo Nation and the ministries of St. Andrew's.
There are two ways you can help do your part.
1. Sign up for sales shifts - Shifts are 2 hours long and start at 10 am. The last shift ends at 8 pm. Training available.
2. Help unload. We get almost 100,000 lbs of pumpkins (we are in the top 20 in sales in the nation!) We need 100 people at each unloading. Our scout troops and packs help out as do some of the other the other groups that use the building. Parishioners help make up the remainder of the unloading crew. Can't lift? We have other jobs on unloading day.
Unloading Days (check office for exact details) 10/10 at 9 am 10/19 at 5 pm
Contact Debbie Allensworth for more details.
| Learn About Other Faiths
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For the past two years, Christine and I have hosted a dinner for people of all (and no) faiths to get together for a simple meal and discussion. Discussion questions are supplied and the conversation is constructed so that people talk about their faith and not defend it or try to win others over. The night is safe, moderated and fun. Christine and I have been blessed by the Jews, Muslims, Atheists and various Christians who have been in our home. We would like to encourage you to attend one of these dinners of 8-10 people. It is worth the time. Greater Houston Area Dinner Dialogues NOVEMBER 12, 2009 6:30pm to 9:30pm To learn more of sign up, go to http://www.amazingfaiths.org/index.php Jim Liberatore
