CELEBRATE DIFFERENCES
By God's design, men and women are very different. As couples, we can use our differences to complement and serve each other, or they can be used to drive us apart. We feel it is crucial for couples to seek to understand and accept each other's differences. We want you to...Celebrate Differences.

Sunday, June 29th and Sunday, July 6th at 9:15 am in room 102.

Led by Jim+ and Christine Liberatore

RSVP to Jim+ at frjimbo@msn.com
ALTER FLOWERS
Ever find yourself gazing at the lovely altar flowers on Sunday? We do too! We love to have fresh flowers to decorate the sanctuary with, that honor loved ones in our lives.  To help keep those gorgeous fresh flowers, we need your help! How you ask? Simply sign up for a Sunday to donate flowers on the bulletin board located in foyer of the church. Fill out a yellow envelope located in the pocket of the bulletin board, and drop it in the offering plate or deliver it to the church office. Just a friendly reminder of another way you can serve and keep our sanctuary beautiful on Sunday!

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
All of the church activities happen because of volunteers.  Please contact Father Jim for a list of current needs around the church.

RECYCLING

Cans - Every time you are ready to throw out that soda or other beverage can, remind yourself that you are throwing away money that could have gone to the Work Campers. Every aluminum can counts. You may drop off your collection in the old kitchen. We are collecting all the way through July. So please
recycle the cans!

Ink Cartridges - Reduce pollution, and raise funds. Most of us have inkjet printers at home or work. When you have an empty cartridge next time, do not throw it away-just bring it to St. Andrew's. We have a special recycle box in the Foyer of the Family Life Center.  St. Andrew's is paid up to $4.00 for each cartridge.

PULL TAB PROGRAM
What is the Pull Tab Program?

The Ronald McDonald House of Houston has been involved with the pull tab program for six years now! This recycling program is a fun and easy way for St. Andrew's to become involved with RMH. The Pull Tab Program brings in an average of $8,000 a year to RMH!!
Pull tabs DO NOT support medical treatment of any kind; however, pull tabs DO support the operations of the Ronald McDonald House of Houston. This includes purchasing food for the family food pantry, cleaning supplies, and providing van transportation for the families to and from the Texas Medical Center.
Although a simple pull tab may appear to be insignificant, it is in fact the most valuable part of the can. Unlike the rest of the can, the tab is pure aluminum and therefore generates the most money from recycling.
So, when you recycle your can for our Workcampers (you are recycling, right?) save the tab for RMH. A milk jug is in the office for this purpose. You can drop them in the offering as well.

MACY'S SUPPORTS CHARITIES - 6/26
Macy's Pearland Town Center is opening for a special preview shopping day and charity benefit on Saturday, July 26, before the store opens to the general public.  Only ticket holders will be admitted to the preview event.  The ticket will have a coupon for 25% off most purchases that day.  St. Andrews is selling $5 tickets for it, and we get to keep all the money to help support St. Andrew's Ministries!  Macy's takes no cut on ticket sales.

Macy's supports local charities through this event and we help Macy's by drawing people to their new store.   Tickets go on sale June 19.

How can you help?
·  Volunteer for a two-hour shift selling walk-in tickets at Macy's on July 26.  We need four people.
·  Take tickets to sell to your co-workers, friends, neighbors.  Remember, St. Andrew's keeps all the money from ticket sales!!
·  Buy a ticket and turn it in at Macy's on July 26.  The group with the most tickets turned in on Charity Day gets a $2,500 bonus!

Reply to ednroxie@comcast.net or call Roxie Woodward at 281-489-4325 to volunteer, or for more information.

St. Andrew's EYC Facebook Group is up and Running!
The new St. Andrew's EYC Facebook group is up and running! You can find information about what is going on with St. Andrew's youth group at:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=10958343700
Weekly "discussion" topics are posted on Tuesdays about each upcoming week and where you can find us! Facebook is a "social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study, and live around them." It is a great way to keep in touch with not only
friends, but family and now the St. Andrew's community. Parents, Youth, and Youth Sponsors are all encouraged to investigate creating a free account/profile and joining the group mentioned above at: http://www.facebook.com/
Any other questions, comments, or concerns can be addressed by e-mailing Ryan Perry, Assistant for Youth Ministry at ryan@standrewspearland.org.
