NEW ADULT CLASS SERIES
Bible for Dummies

Do know your way around Missoula, Montana better than the Bible? Well, let's fix that. Jim+ is offering an introductory class - Bible 101 for those of us who are woefully uninitiated to the Bible (we will use assumed names - no minutes will be taken) RSVP so we can have materials. Sundays 11/11 and 11/18 at 9:15 am sharp in room 104. Bring a Bible (unless it is one of those that weigh over 10 pounds.) RSVP frjimbo@msn.com

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

1.        Order Pickup - We need someone with a truck who will pick up our monthly Sam's order. We can order for pick up at a Sam's near you.

2.        Sign - Would you be willing to change the sign out front one a week? You can do it day or night at your leisure. Sign is changed on Sunday or Monday.

3.        Bread Baking - Want to learn the recipe for the yummy altar bread and help your church family as well. Once a month for us (and as many times as you want for you.) The recipe is not hard. Help make worship great.

4.        Church Weekend Away in the Piney Woods - Need team members to join Jim+ to lead and design the 11/29-12/2 outing near Navasota.

5.        Musical Offering - Play an instrument? Sing? We would love to have you perform something during worship as a special offering.

6.        Is it Christmas already? - Well, no, but it's time to plan for our annual Christmas Pageant. It does happen without some adult help. Is that you? We have a leader; just need some adults to help.

7.        Altar Help - Do you care about our worship? Want to know more about Episcopal worship? Do you want to help make it happen? Once a month ministries are open in worship set up. We will train and love you. Once a month for a few hours.

8.        Audiovisual - God is calling one person to coordinate a team of audiovisual people for 10:30 am worship. Most of the team is already in place.

YOUTH MISSION TRIP NEEDS YOUR HELP!

The youth from St. Andrews is headed to Monroe, North Carolina this summer to repair homes for the elderly and indigent.  We need your help to make this happen!

Our first fundraiser will be selling drinks during the
Fall Festival, 11/10-11/11. We are asking for donations of Coke, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Diet Coke or Root Beer in 12 oz cans or 16 oz. bottles of water.

You can drop off your donations during the week in the church office or bring them to church by Sunday 11/11.
Thanks for helping our youth get started in what is sure to be a life changing experience!

NURSERY HOSTS

Would you like to make our nursery a warm friendly place? We need nursery hosts to greet people on Sunday mornings. It is not a huge time commitment. You serve approximately 30  minutes every 4-6 weeks. Just arrive 15 minutes prior to the service you attend and return to the nursery before or immediately following communion and stay for 15 minutes after the service. You can even take communion at the nursery. This is very easy and you can even pick the Sunday that you'd like to serve. If you are interested in greeting at Andrew's Ark, please contact Elizabeth Escobedo Huh at (713) 436-0422, or elizabethescobedo@hotmail.com

PUMPKIN FINAL TALLY
WOW!! Pumpkin sales were amazing this year - wanted to give everyone a final tally: Total sales: $40,111.75 (previous top year was approx $32k) Our % = 40%
= $16,044 (that goes primarily to the operating fund, and a smaller portion to special projects like last week's lock-in and Movie Nights, etc and also to our preschool, St. Andrew's Academy).

FALL FESTIVAL WORKERS NEEDED
Hi Everyone! The pumpkins are leaving as I write this and our Fall Festival is coming up in just 9 short days. This is our gift to the community we serve and we need everyone's help to make this gift a reality. We need workers for the festival.

SAFETY ISSUE

Please monitor children and youth and help keep them out of the upstairs area of the Worship Building. This is a safety concern that became apparent after a few incidents this past two weeks. We do not want a child injured or property destroyed. Thank you for your help.

BABYSITTING
If anybody is interested, I am available all weekend this weekend and next at the moment.  I am very happy to work if needed.  Please, nothing before 4 on Friday and later than 5 on Sunday.  Call me on my cell to schedule something: 281-627-2524.  If I don't answer, you can leave a message its most likely because I am in class.
