           YMCA Building
Welcome to May!  We've been busy at the Y this past month:  our annual Strong Kids Campaign kicked off on April 15th, the Zumbathon was a great success with 77 participants and many people were able to  try our our free group cycling classes.  We're getting ready for Summer Day Camp registration and continuing work on our campaign.  We are also moving to summer hours and will have updated babysitting hours.  See below for more details!

Strong Kids Campaign
Our 2010 Strong Kids Campaign kicked off April 15th to a strong start.  We have a goal this year of $50,000.  The Strong Kids Campaign provides the support for our annual needs to meet our mission every day.  Funds from this annual campaign help us to offer financial assistance to those with the inability to pay for services.  Membership and enrollment in classes is open to all, with no one denied membership or services due to the inability to pay.

To make a one time or ongoing donation please click the button below.  Or, for more information you may contact Linus or Heather at the Y or by calling 344-1324.

Activate Galesburg Capital Campaign
We are also into the "Friends of the Y" portion of our Activate Galesburg Capital Campaign.  This campaign is to develop soccer fields and expand and renovate the YMCA.  Check out our plans and campaign progress in the front lobby!  As part of the YMCA's expansion plan, a brick "patio" will be included adjacent to the outdoor picnic and concession area of the new Outdoor Soccer and Sports Complex.  This wonderful new program space will be a part of the community for generations to come.

You have the opportunity to purchase 4" X 8" bricks for a pledge of $300 or 8" X 8" bricks for $500.  Pledges may be paid over 3-5 years or in full at time of pledge.  Use a brick to honor or memorialize someone special or to recognize your business or your family in support of this wonderful project.  Examples of bricks already pledged will be in the lobby soon-keep a look out!

For more information about this great opportunity, you can see Linus or Heather at the Y or call 344-1324.
