PTA Meeting - All Welcome
Thursday, October 25, 9 am, Media Center
Mark your calendars for the first PTA Meeting of the year. Come hear Principal Raneri and school psychologist Brenda Generazio talk about OGS' social-emotional learning goals, the role of the school psychologist, and the Celebration of Learning Assemblies your children will participate in this year. The PTA will give a brief update on plans for the year and vote to approve our annual budget.
Raise Funds for OGS with Your Target REDcard

Health and Wellness National Take Your Parents to Lunch Day Friday, October 12 Check out what's cooking at school by joining your children in the cafeteria. Experience the school food environment first hand and give a big thank you to the cafeteria staff. See how school lunches are meeting new federal nutrition standards, including double the fruits and vegetables, more whole grains, less unhealthy fats and salt, and new age-based calorie ranges. This is a great opportunity to start a discussion about healthy food choices, while sharing part of the school day with your children. Healthier bodies lead to healthier minds, so make a lunch date with your kids on October 12.

Go Green
OGS Halloween Costume Exchange Collection: October 9 - 12, OGS front hall Exchange: October 17 and 18, OGS plaza Go Green this Halloween by reusing or exchanging your costumes! Reuse a sibling's costume, alter a costume, or even use pillowcases as candy bags. Another great idea is to participate in the OGS Costume Exchange. Place your costume in a zip lock bag labeled with the size, then put it in the bins outside the front office from October 9 - 12. At the exchange on October 17 and 18 on the front plaza, take a costume or two home. |
