Here is a solution to make those big spreadsheets easier to follow. |
- Highlight the range of cells, rows or columns that you want to format.
- Choose Conditional Formatting, then select New Rule.
- Choose Use a formula to determine which cells to format.
- Under the Edit the Rule Description, enter =MOD(ROW(),2)=0 in the box Format values where the formula is true.
- Select the Format button in the preview section of the window to bring up the Format Cells box.
- Choose the Fill tab and specify a color for the shaded rows. (It is best to choose a light color in order to still read the text.)
- Click OK twice to return to your spreadsheet.
