The American Bakers Association urged Chairman Issa to focus the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform's agenda on holding the Obama Administration accountable for regulatory actions that dampen and possibly prevent economic growth. ABA suggested that the Committee oversee issues including:
- the implementation of the Food Modernization Act;
- greenhouse gas regulations that the Environmental Protection Agency is pushing in lieu of the failure to pass cap and trade legislation last year;
- the continued introduction of new health care laws mandated by the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; and much more.

 USDA Grain Supply/Demand SummaryCorn: no U.S. balance table changes besides new crop demand increases in ethanol (+50 mbu to 4950 mbu) and other industrial (+20 mbu to 1400 mbu), but that carries through to cut carryout to just 675 million bushels, an awfully small number. World demand increased in both old and new crop, and Argentine corn production cut (down 1.5 MMT) headlines a drop in world corn production, leaving world 2010/11 ending corn stocks down a steep 4.5 MMT. Beans: U.S. balance table unchanged across the board. World stocks are also little changed, with Argentina beans cut and Brazil increase (1 MMT each) cancelling each other out. Wheat: U.S. balance table unchanged here as well, with world stocks down very slightly on minimal cut in Ukraine production. No change in estimates for major production countries, including China, AUS, CAN. Read Full Report Want to learn more?
