Last week I finally got around to having a couple of rock chips in my car windshield repaired. It was such a positive experience I have made a mental note to myself not to put it off so long next time; not only was it extremely convenient (they came to my home!) but the technicians were friendly, professional, performed their work quickly and did an excellent job.
As the technician handed me the requisite paperwork and explained what all was in the little folder and why I wanted to keep it, he added with a big smile, "And that's the website where you can log in and tell them what a great job I did!"
So I did. Frankly, if he hadn't made it such a fun ending to our interaction, I might not have gotten around to doing so. But he asked for my help, and if he didn't promote himself, who would?
Make it a point to provide feedback, especially if it has been a positive experience. Pick up the telephone, send an email or better yet, write a note or letter that can be placed in an employee's personnel file. How many times have you walked into a place of business and seen letters from satisfied customers posted on a bulletin board ... you have passed the time reading a few, haven't you?

Remember...
We are very quick to
criticize and complain when something is not to our liking; be sure
to recognize the positive details that come along when something goes
right.
It's even better when you have fun with it!
