When making arrangements to meet a new contact for lunch recently, he mentioned that his Google calendar would email me a confirmation of the date and time for our appointment. It also included a link to the restaurant where we would be meeting.
This was extremely helpful as it was one I was unfamiliar with and being of an ethnic nature, the correct spelling was unknown to me. I was able to click on the link, obtain the address and find out exactly where I was going in just a matter of minutes.
Even if you don't use this type of on-line calendar program, you can still make use of the great idea. Next time you are meeting someone at a location that is new to him or her, take just a moment and email them a link to a website or at the very least, the name of the place and the address.
The added information will be much appreciated.
