Dr Rima Laibow just called from Switzerland where she is attending the Codex meeting for the Natural Solutions Foundation, www.healthfreedomusa.org . She was devastated. They just voted that all gm foods and animals are to be considered equal to their natural counterparts (the next step will be that they should not be labelled gm, - we have been fighting for labeling). They also voted to give the U.S. greater power over Codex (they made it the new Chair, for at least the next three years). Since it is the U.S. (Monsanto, Big Pharma) that has been pushing the worst agendas, we are in trouble. We have a couple of hundred thousand on our mailing list- we need MILLIONS to blast Washington with our eblasts. If people don't get really angry, really soon, they are going

Preliminary Report - Transfer Factor Testing

Background and rationale: 1) Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the US. The rate of nearly every type of cancer is on the rise. Despite billions of dollars in research, the mortality rate has remained nearly unchanged since the 1960's using conventional treatments such as radiation, surgery and chemotherapy. Thus, there is considerable interest in using immune modulation as an adjuvant for cancer therapy. Natural killer cells are particularly important in destroying cancer cells.
Purpose of study: 1) To determine the in vitro anti-cancer effects of Transfer Factor and Transfer Factor Plus using PBMC isolated from human volunteers and assaying the increased ability of the NK cell population to kill K562 erythroleukemic cells.
Methods: 1) PBMC killing of K562 (erythroleukemic) cells
Results: 1) Transfer Factor Classic increased NK-cell killing by 103%
2) Transfer Factor Plus increased NK-cell killing by 248%

Conclusions: Transfer Factor and Transfer Factor Plus induced immune-based lysis of K562 cells at a level unprecedented in the director's experience or in the known medical literature. Since NK cell function is so crucial in killing cancer cells, these products are ideal candidates for cancer adjuvant therapy. In addition, NK cells form a first line of defense against infections from viruses and certain other microorganisms. Killing assays against K562 cells have also been correlated with increased activity against chronic and acute infections as well.

Research shows that the key to avoiding or surviving these or any threatening invader we face has to do with immune system modulation. A well modulated immune system will quickly identify the invader and quickly launch a full strength attack (inducer activity), and at the same time prevent the complications of an overactive response (suppressor activity), such as autoimmune disease and cytokine storms such as those caused by the H1N1 & H5N1 virus.
The most effective modulator known is transfer factor. Transfer factor can both stimulate and suppress immune function but transfer factor function depends on the specific antigens and the status of the immune response. Transfer factor can stimulate the release of T suppressor cells when "down" regulation is necessary due to over activity. Autoimmune diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and allergic reactions are situations where the body's own immune response has over-responded to antigenic stimulation. Transfer factor works in these situations because it can slow down this overactive response. Patent protected Transfer Factor Plus combines a group of immune modulators such as Maitake & Shiitake mushroom, Cordyceps, IP-6, Beta Glucans, Beta Sitosterol, Mannans, Agaricus Blazeii and Olive leaf extract.
