Greetings!

Spiritual Practices Book
to be CREDO resource
at fall conferences

Strength for the JourneyThe book Strength for the Journey: A Guide to Spiritual Practice, written by CREDO faculty members Renée Miller and Brian Taylor, is part of the CREDO curriculum at all fall conferences this year. The September conferences begin on September 12.

All conference participants--former and upcoming--are invited to participate in the Strength for the Journey Blog where an excerpt and the audio reading by the author is featured each Wednesday through October, with an invitation for your comments and commentary.  You can order the book through Church Publishing

You can also visit the iTunes Store and subscribe to the weekly podcasts where A Guide to Spiritual Practice recordings will be automatically added to your iTunes library. It's free. While you are at it--please offer a review of that collection to draw additional attention to this CREDO podcast series.

On Friday, September 9, the Wellness Resource Center on the CREDO website will go live. (Want a peek?)

CREDO Blogs offer refresher on CREDO Conference themes

blog button CREDO hosts a spectrum of Health and Wellness Blogs that highlight and focus on the four component areas of a CREDO conference: Vocational, Financial, Spiritual, and Health.

Vocational Feedback

This week, vocation faculty member Brad Agry asks if you have a personal "board of advisors." Who are the people who will motivate you to try new things without fear of failure and to deeply explore without being afraid of what will ultimately be uncovered or discovered?

How to manage vocational feedback is a significant theme in any CREDO conference. In a special series on feedback, both Brad and Matthew Stockard weigh in on these themes over the next 10 days. See Transforming Work, leave a comment, and subscribe to CREDO's vocational blog and these reflections will be delivered directly to your email inbox.

Financial faculty member Celeste Ventura begins a two-part reflection in her blog Next Step$ on Legacy and Generosity -- a key theme presented in CREDO II conferences. The second in the series, Can Practice lead to Legacy?, will be published on Monday. You can subscribe to Next Step$ also.

Faculty Member Sam Portaro points out in the CREDO Spiritual Blog VENI that returning to work and routine from days of rest or reclining offers us an opportunity to find in the resumed busy-ness of life unusual time of spiritual renewal and prayer.

I heart CREDO In CREDO Eclectic, blogger Herb Gunn explores whether CREDO is a noun, verb, or adjective. What would YOU say? See Restless Agents of Transformation.

All the CREDO Blogs can be accessed

through the CREDO website, also.
