Greetings!
Strength for the Journey
CREDO continues to work with the four reorganizing dioceses--Pittsburgh, Fort Worth, San Joaquin, and Quincy--as they reestablish internal leadership and inner strength through health and wellness.
"Strength for the Journey has been an important tool in the rebuilding of the Diocese of Pittsburgh," said Pittsburgh Provisional Bishop Kenneth Price. "The diocesan-wide conference held last year was a turning point for us. Now, this clergy conference, held on April 6-8, has been another important piece in our coming back to full life and health." Read an Easter update on the project as Strength for the Journey continues through 2011.

Continuing the CREDO Conference experience in Conversation with Faculty
| |
For those who return home after a CREDO Conference and wonder how to keep the experience alive, we now have a place for you to turn. CREDO introduces a spectrum of Health and Wellness Blogs that highlight and focus on the four component areas of a CREDO conference: Spiritual, Vocational, Financial, and Health.
This month Faculty Member Elizabeth Geitz is a special contributor to the Spiritual Blog VENI and reflects on her own deepening sense of identity through the Easter experience. Vocational Blogger Matthew Stockard reflections on somewhat minor moments of transition, and how to invite the "Between Times" to become times of reflection, not stress. Finance Faculty Member Celeste Ventura raises up a similar idea in these weeks after the annual (and often stressful) experience of completing taxes. Why not consider a retreat for your personal Board of Directors to assess your financial health and wellness? Aileen Loranger, health faculty member, wonders if health might be understood as a sacrament. "Could our health--wherever we are along the wellness continuum--be an outward and visible sign reflecting an inward and spiritual grace?" Read here and let her know what you think. ______________________ |
A Guide to Spiritual Practice
Since last summer, CREDO has emailed two reflections each month that focus on discovering routes to spiritual practice in everyday life and activities. This Guide to Spiritual Practice was so popular that CREDO has transformed the collection into a book titled Strength for the Journey: A Guide to Spiritual Practice.
With an introduction by Brian Taylor and 20 refreshing reflections by Renée Miller, the book is now available from Church Publishing.
Strength for the Journey: A Guide to Spiritual Practice is illustrated with stunning color images by photographer Diane Walker.

CREDO will build new faculty teams for 2012-13 conferences
|
On February 17, the Church Pension Fund Board of Trustees approved a three-year funding plan for CREDO Institute, Inc. for 2013-15. The funding continues CPG's support for CREDO's principal mission to address the health and wellness of clergy pension plan participants.
In the conferences that will occur in 2012 and 2013, CREDO will continue to offer eight-day conferences including CREDO I, CREDO II, CREDO for Retired Clergy, and Spanish CREDO for eligible Church Pension plan participants. New conference models and accompanying resources will be designed and developed for five-day conferences along with a reduced number of eight-day conferences.
For additional information on the new conference types and opportunities to serve on CREDO faculty teams, please see HERE.
