Greetings!

Episcopal Communicators come to Memphis

ec

The Episcopal Communicators will host its annual conference in Memphis, April 6-9.

CREDO will welcome the group of nearly 100 Episcopal Church communicators to Memphis and is offering a series of health and wellness workshops during the conference. CREDO has also organized a pre-conference "Day in Memphis" for participants who arrive a day early to tour social service agencies in Memphis and engage in a hands-on work project in one of the downtown neighborhoods.

CREDO will build new faculty teams for 2012-13 conferences

On February 17, the Church Pension Fund Board of Trustees approved a three-year funding plan for CREDO Institute, Inc. for 2013-15. The funding continues CPG's support for CREDO's principal mission to address the health and wellness of clergy pension plan participants.

In the conferences that begin in 2012 and 2013, CREDO will continue to offer eight-day conferences including CREDO I, CREDO II, CREDO for Retired Clergy, and Spanish CREDO for eligible Church Pension Fund plan participants. New conference models and accompanying resources will be designed and developed for five-day conferences along with a reduced number of eight-day conferences.

In a letter to faculty members from Associate Director Gay Jennings in mid-March, CREDO announced that all the faculty teams for the upcoming 2012-13 conferences will be reconstituted and curriculum will be developed for new conference types.

Information on conference types and faculty positions and applications to be considered will be available on April 15 on the CREDO website. All former CREDO conference participants and readers of CREDO Connection will be alerted to the posting of these materials through CREDO Connection on April 15.

A Guide to Spiritual Practice

A Guide to Spiritual Practice

Since last summer, CREDO has e-mailed two reflections each month that focus on discovering routes to spiritual practice in everyday life and activities. This Guide to Spiritual Practice was so popular that CREDO has transformed the collection into a book titled Strength for the Journey: A Guide to Spiritual Practice. With an introduction by Brian Taylor and 20 refreshing reflections by Renée Miller, the book will be available in mid-May. The book is illustrated with stunning color images by photographer Diane Walker.

Lenten Letters

Daily reminders of transformation

IDPT graphicUntil Easter, CREDO continues Lenten Letters--daily e-mails that are reminiscent of short letters in both form and content. The  Lenten Letters are based on the call letters IDPT, signifying Identity, Discernment, Practice, and Transformation, the core principles of the CREDO mission and pillars upon which the CREDO Conference experience is based.

For one minute each morning, Lenten Letters offer an opportunity to look with intention at these four areas in our lives. The series of daily reflections is available to anyone you know who would like to sign up. Access to the sign-up page and change your CREDO Profile to include Lenten Letters HERE
