The holiday season is upon us! What better way to celebrate the season than with cheese? We offer an assortment of cheeses, sides & supplies in various price ranges for everyone on your list. Not sure what cheese they like? Try one of our cheese of the month clubs or get them a gift certificate so they can select their favorites. Or give us a call and we can make a few suggestions.
Venissimo will be stocking many unique and hard-to-get items especially for the holiday season. One of my favorites is Heublumen, an alpine cheese from Switzerland that is rolled in "hay & flowers," hence the name. With its green herbaceous rind, it's both festive & fantastic. Be sure to let us know if there is something special on your wish list and we'll do our best to get it in.

Special Holiday Deliveries  Many of our fromage friends have requested some old time favorite holiday treats this season. Just in: Montagnoli Figs - figs baked then soaked in a secret syrup flavored with orange peel. Yummy! These babies are so popular we had to back order them straight from Italy! Also on hand will be handmade Panettone - an Italian bread with lemon, orange and candied raisins, & Panforte - a wonderfully chewy and delicious fruit, nut, and honey confection that is believed to have originated in Italy about 800 years ago. |

Holiday Entertaining  The busy holiday season is here and we all know what that means. Party after party after party. Whether hosting or attending, parties can be a cause for stress. Venissimo wants to help. Hosting a party? We do custom party trays! Attending as a guest and not sure what to bring? How about a gift basket complete with cheese & sides. Not sure what type of cheese to serve with your favorite wine? Use our wine pairing tool - simply enter the type of wine you will be serving in our search engine & we'll suggest cheeses that go best. What's New at Venissimo  DEL MAR NEWS:
Venissimo - Del Mar will be extending its hours for the holiday shopping season. Through December 24th, we will be open Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hours will remain the same Sunday - Wednesday. And be sure not to attend our Holiday Open House on Thursday, December 13th from 6-8pm. We'll be sampling some of our favorite holiday treats.
MISSION HILLS NEWS:
We've paired up with our neighbor Lavish Aromatic Botanical Products and will be hosting an Open House on Thursday, December 6th from 6-8 p.m. Come shop late & enjoy holiday treats with your neighbors. Need extra time to shop? Not to worry, Mission Hills will have it's doors open on Sunday, December 23rd, from 12-5pm for all your last-minute holiday cheese shopping! |
