Greetings! Wow - what an amazing first month in Del Mar! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us with the opening of our second location. It has been very fun to share new products between the two shops. We think you will be pleased with the special cheese products we have in store for the upcoming holiday season. And if you have a special wish, send us an e-mail & we'll see what we can do. We also thank you for your patience as we work to combine the purchase history databases between the two locations & fulfill former Aniata Club memberships this month. The world of cheese is just going to get better & better... |

In the spirit of Oktoberfest, this month we are
featuring
some of our favorite beer cheeses: beer-washed chimay from Belgium, cahill porter Irish cheddar pressed in
porter & red dragon studded with mustard
seeds from Wales! While wine is fine, beer brings
cheer. We had the pleasure of sampling these
cheeses with the folks at Karl Strauss where our taste
buds determined that Chimay goes best with Chimay,
Padre Porter goes best with Cahill Porter & Red
Dragon is a hit with Stargazer IPA.
I had the pleasure of celebrating Oktoberfest in Munich where I discovered two of Bavaria's favorite beer & cheese pairings: a slab of Gruyere with a pretzel or fresh chevre spread on Bavarian rye & sprinkled with chives. Guten appetit! |

Fall means it's time for fabulous fondue & we make it
easy for you. Simply call us 2 days in
advance of your party & we will prepare "fondue to
go." We grate a combination of 3 of our
favorite fondue cheeses so you don't have to. Each
fondue to go package comes with a recipe card -
basically just add beer or wine with your favorite
spices & you're ready to eat. The cost is $30 which
serves 4-6 guests. For Halloween parties, pick up a few boxes of our new black charcoal crackers from England's Fine Cheese Company. Not only do they taste great, they look amazing with both white & orange cheeses.
Prost!
