Greetings!

It is  hard to believe that  April is here  already.   It has been an exciting 1st quarter for us, and we' are  glad to see some improvements in the material movement.   Projects arriving  and other projects moving out.   Even some of our steel distribution customers are seeing  more movement of products through our warehouse facility.

In addition to the almost 400,000 square feet that is serviced by heavy lift overhead cranes, did you realize that we have almost 10 acres of stabilized fenced in yard space for your temporary project lay down and outside storage needs.

Just give us a call or drop in for a visit to talk about your needs.

POWER GENERATION

Over the years we at Dixie Cullen have handled quite a bit of Power Generation Equipment.   From one Generator to complete power plants, including boiler tubes and other related parts.   From one truckload to complete projects.

Most recently we accepted delivery of a trailer mounted Generator,  that found a safe haven in our warehouse for a few days, while some minor retrofitting was completed onsite by our customers contractor before heading out to the Port of Houston.

Cat Generator
Michigan Cat

When this unit arrived it was 115 feet long and approximately 140,000 pounds.

CSA 2010

We find that there is so much information out there that we could not begin to include everything in our newsletter, so we have set up a "BLOG" that we post to on a regular basis.    You can bookmark this link and check whenever you wish.

This year while attending  the Harris County International Business Conference we were exposed to information on  CSA 2010, it was a very eye opening experience.

By now I am sure that everyone who is involved with trucking has some knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010.  (CSA 2010).

This new plan will place significant new demands on carriers and drivers and goes into effect in July.   They are cautioning everyone involved with the transportation industry to be aware of these new regulations.

There is additional information about this on our Blog

Contact us today to discuss how we can be of assistance to you for your storage, export preparation and material handling needs.

Sincerely,
Catherine James
