 Women's Business Network Meeting

"Networking 101: First Impressions and Follow-Up Fortunes."

Cheri Dostal, owner of evolve wellness, LLC, is the guest speaker on Thursday, March 11th. The meeting will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the Western Dairyland Community Action Agency, 418 Wisconsin Street, Eau Claire.

In preparation for the 2010 Women's Business Conference and its more than 300 participants from across the state, Cheri will be leading the interactive discussion and workshop "Networking 101: First Impressions and Follow-Up Fortunes."  How often do you enter a crowded room feeling completely confident and prepared to discuss your business?  We all get cold feet and butterflies at times.  However, with a little planning and a little more practice, we can master the art of networking.  You are the face of your business.

Local opportunities to network abound, and they allow us free face time in front of other business professionals and our most valuable asset - potential new customers.  Make a strong first impression with simple role playing and activities, and learn why your fortune lies in the follow-up.  This is an interactive workshop - Bring your best handshake and a smile!

Feel free to bring your lunch.  And, remember to bring your business cards!

March is National Women's History Month. The celebration dates to March 8, 1857, when women protested working conditions at factories throughout New York City. That day officially became International Women's Day in 1909 and expanded to National Women's History Week in 1981. Congress turned that week into a month in 1987.
