Greetings!
It's difficult to say goodbye to a good friend, but change
is inevitable and the work of AnimalSave goes on. We want to thank Carla Bonetti for her hard work and
dedication as AnimalSave's executive director, and wish her well in her new
pursuits. For the time being, I will assume her duties assisted by our team of
caring and dedicated staff and volunteers.
Preparations continue for our 9th annual Santa
Paws Auction on November 21, at the Miner's Foundry and we are looking forward
to seeing you there. AnimalSave
volunteers will be outside at Kmart, Raley's and SPD in Nevada City on
Saturday, November 14th, with tickets and a special treat for your
canine friends, please stop by and say hello to them.
I would like to add a special thank you to fosters Jon and
Marie who made a huge commitment to Jake.
Jake was one of 6 puppies rescued by AnimalSave in February. Things didn't work out with his first
adoptive family, so Jon and Marie signed up as his foster parents. At that time Jake was a 7 month old
overly protective puppy, dog aggressive and with attitude to spare. Today Jake is in his forever home, a
well-behaved boy who loves people and his doggie pals.
Happy endings and wagging tails is the goal of everyone at
AnimalSave!

Lifelong friends have been hard to

furry friend for you. On November
7th, 14th, and 21st, AnimalSave is joining shelters worldwide for Iams
Home 4the Holidays 2009, an annual pet adoption drive to match homeless pets
with loving people...like you...in time for Thanksgiving!
What: AnimalSave's Home 4 the Holidays Pet Adoptions
When: Saturdays, November 14th and 21st, 1-4pm
Where: 520 East Main Street, Grass Valley
In addition to cats, dogs,
puppies
and kittens available for adoption, special activities will be held to
celebrate, including raffle prizes, refreshments, and gifts with each

Cat of the Month~ Tabitha
Hi! My name is Tabitha. I am a 6 month old
Tabico who came to AnimalSave in July. I used to be shy but now I love to play with other cats and visit with people who come into the Cat Nap Adoption Room.
year old lab/pit mix with a happy, loving personality. I will be your big lap dog any time! I have been in foster care for many months with my best bud Tiny Tim and would love for the both of us to be adopted
together to a home with a large fenced area, but we can go separately.
