CCAA Increases Orphanage "Donation"

The CCAA has just sent a notice to all agencies that they are increasing the $3000 orphanage donation.  It is now being set at 35,000 RMB which at the current exchange rate (6.8812 to 1) is approximately $5086.  This increase is required of all families traveling after January 1, 2009 and must be paid in RMB.

Special Needs Children

We still have 5 special needs children available for adoption listed at our site.  CLICK HERE to go directly to the site.  Once on the site you will need to click on New User Registration at the top of the page if you have not already registered at the site.  This will give you access to the Members Area where the special needs children are listed.

We will be adding more children to the list as we get their information.
Reminder to all China Families
If you submitted a dossier to China before April 1, 2008 and you are still waiting on a referral, you must keep your I-600A approval current.  If you let your I-600A expire you will be required to submit a new I-800A and the case will be considered an adoption under the Hague rules.  This adds considerable cost and time to the process so  be sure to keep your I-600A approval current.  You can see the expiration date by looking at the approval date in the upper right hand corner of your I-171H.  Your I-171H will expire 18 months after that date.  Please allow plenty of time for renewal of this form.
