Vietnam Petition

As many of you know adoptions in Vietnam will be stopping on September 1 due to the expiration of the adoption agreement between the United States and Vietnam.  They are preparing to begin work on a new agreement.  Vietnam has said that they will return all dossiers currently logged in with the DIA on September 1 if they do not have a referral.

We would like to encourage you to go to I-Petitions and sign the petition to be given to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to encourage him to retain all dossiers at the DIA so that these families will be considered for adoption when a new agreement is signed.

This costs you nothing and only takes about 1 minute.  The petition will only be open until Monday so please sign it as soon as possible and forward it to others.

Thank you for your help!
Chang DeJuan

DeJuanDeJuan has encountered a few problems in her recovery. Her incision is not healing properly, and the infection she has been fighting for so long now is still present. Her surgeon is reluctant to put in a shunt, due to some problems with previous patients. We have asked Dr. Lazareff, UCLA Medical Center Neurosurgeon, for some advice which he has graciously given; hopefully they will listen to his words of wisdom. JuanJuan has come too far now to have a major setback over fear of what might happen. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

If you have not seen the latest video just CLICK HERE.  We hope to have new photos in the next couple of days.

Thank you all for your support of little DeJuan.

More Children Coming - Help Needed!

I know everyone must be tied of hearing that we need you to help but we can't do this alone and neither can Hannah and the nannies.  We were just informed this morning that the orphanage in Siping has a failure to thrive newborn and the orphanage in Changchun has two more ill infants they cannot provide adequate care for.  We take in the most critically ill children that are in danger of dying.  We must take these children and help them.  You can go to our web site and see that your efforts and the efforts of Hannah and the nannies have saved many lives.  But to continue we must have more help.  The need is great and getting more urgent everyday.  We do not want to put Hannah in the position of having to say no to a child that has no other hope!

The nannies are the ones with the difficult job.  They are the ones that stay up all night feeding a baby with an eye dropper every hour because they cannot suck on a bottle.  They stay up all night watching over a child that has just had surgery.   They grieve when in spite of all their sacrifice and best efforts, a child dies.

We only ask that you help them and give them the tools necessary to give these children a fighting chance.  Your donation does make a difference!  Your donation does save lives!

You can see the children we have in the center by going to Bringing Hope to Children.  Each child has the latest updated information and you can see how they have changed since first arriving.  We update each child's page as often as we have new information.  We also have a webcam where you can see live video from the Center four nights a week.

Our mission is to see that these children are healthy enough to be adopted one day.  Please take a look and decide to sponsor one of the children.  They have no one else to help them!  Your $28 gives them all hope.

Thank you for your support.
