We still need additional donors to fully fund the Center. Your monthly donation will provide housing, food, medical attention, diapers, clothing, etc., to these special children.  Just CLICK HERE to see how easy and rewarding a donation to help these kids can be!

Changchun Kids On The Move

We have made the difficult decision to move the children from our Changchun Center to the Siping Center. Financially, this was the best decision we could make since we have been unable to gather enough sponsors to keep both Centers open and functioning as we would like. If the financial situation improves, we may decide to reopen a Center in Changchun at a later date. But for now, we want to update you on where the children are, since you all have grown to know and love them, too!

Zhang Yan has been moved back to her orphanage, where she is enjoying some quiet time away from the babies in our Center, and has met a little girl about her age who also has Down syndrome. The orphanage has begun a new program, and the girls will benefit from this greatly.

Chang ShiYong and Chang QiuHui are now strong enough to be placed in foster homes. We know they have had the best care possible during their time with us, and we hope their transition to their new homes will be smooth.

Fu WenBo, Qian LiChao, SunWei and YuanYue made the move to Siping on Tuesday. We can only imagine the scene with all the children, boxes and general moving mess! But they are there now and getting settled in quite nicely.

We are hopeful that with the continued support of our sponsors, we will be able to maintain this Center so that the children there will receive the best care we can provide and that we will be able to  re-open the Changchun Center to be able to serve more children in need.

A Very Special Birthday Wish
JacobWhen Jacob Winters invited all of his classmates to his birthday party recently, he asked them not to bring him any presents. Instead, this very special young man asked them to make a donation to IAAP for the care of little Zhang Qi. Jacob had seen Zhang Qi on our site, and wanted to raise enough money to cover a sponsorship for one year. To the delight of everyone, Jacob's friends donated a total of $642.00! We are so proud of Jacob (and his friends). We know Jacob's parents are very proud, too. Little QiQi is a very lucky baby to have such a special honorary big brother!

Thank You!

We would like to thank the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota, for their generous donation to our Center. Scott and Barb Pentecost brought our need to their attention, and we are so very thankful for their help.

Our thanks also to Ginny Jones and a group of moms in LaGrange, Georgia, who held a consignment sale and gave part of the proceeds to our Center. Ginny is the God-Mother of a child adopted from China through IAAP.

To those of you that have stepped forward to sponsor a child we want to say thank you although we know a thank you is just not enough for the generosity you have shown.

To those who have not yet sponsored a child we invite you to visit with these children at http://bringinghopetochildren.org/children/china.html. Take a look at the progress some of these children have made.  You can help this continue with a very small donation!

The webcam at the Siping Center is working great.  Just go over to our site at Bringing Hope to Children, sponsor a child, and you can see the kids at the Center in real time.
