New Videos
We have new videos of a number of the children and we are adding more new videos and photos each week. To view these just go to bringinghopetochildren.org. |
We still need additional donors to fully fund the Centers. Your monthly donation will provide housing, food, medical attention, diapers, clothing, etc., to these special children. Just CLICK HERE to see how easy and rewarding a donation to help these kids can be!

Shui YiLi - No Answers Yet

So far, all of YiLi's test results have been normal, with the exception of her magnesium level, which was lower than it should be. The CT scan was fine, the GI series was good....there hasn't been any clue as to why she had failed to gain weight while she was living at the orphanage. She has put on a little weight since she came into our care. There are a few more tests to go, and pending the results she will come home to our Center for intensive care and nutritional supplements. The photo above is of Shui YiLi on the left meeting Li AiHua in the Changchun Hospital.
We have had many inquiries from families interested in adopting YiLi. She is not available for adoption. YiLi, and all the other children in our Centers, are not available for adoption until they are considered to be healthy and their files have been submitted to the CCAA by their orphanage directors. If the CCAA decides they are adoptable, they will send their files to various agencies. We have no say in this process.
Our foster care Centers are there to provide care for those children whose orphanages are unable to properly care for them due to their special medical needs. We do not place children for adoption from our Centers.

Li AiHua - Update
Li AiHua is doing remarkably well after her surgery. She will require additional surgeries at a later date but the current surgery was a complete success. You can see a new video of her after surgery by CLICKING HERE. We hope she will be going back to the Siping Center soon so she can see all her friends there.

Painting Auction to Benefit Centers
You can participate in out first painting auction! The Auction ends March 5th at 09:30:44 PST
We have an original painting by Mandy Riley Spencer. The painting is initialed on the front but signed and dated on the back. Painted in oils on a slick acid free paper. The painting itself measures 12x14 3/4, matted to hold 11x14, with frame 15x19. The painting is matted in white with a black gallery style frame.
This painting represents the Chinese Proverb: An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break.
Mandy has offered to pay for the shipping, so that all proceeds will benefit the children in our foster care Centers. This beautiful painting would certainly be a wonderful gift for Mother's Day (which will be here before you know it!), or to hang in your child-to-be's room. The auction ends March 5, so don't delay!
Please help support the Centers with your bids on this painting. We are so grateful to Mandy for her generosity! Here is the link to the painting...happy bidding!

Thanks to everyone who sent in recipes for our cookbook fund raiser. We have received a lot of recipes since our last news letter but we can always use more. We will be accepting recipes for a little longer so please get them in quickly.
It is really very simple to do. Just go to the COOKBOOK page on our web site and enter your favorite recipe or recipes. Send as many as you would like. It doesn't matter if you think you are a great cook or not, just send us what your family likes. We have had such wonderfully named recipes as Funky's Pub Potato Soup , Frog-eye Salad , and Czechoslovakian Cookies.
So go to your kitchen, pull out that great recipe that the kids ask you to cook all the time and send it to us by CLICKING HERE!
You will be helping the kids in China and we can all have some fun doing it.

Thank You!
To those of you that have stepped forward to sponsor a child we want to say thank you although we know a thank you is just not enough for the generosity you have shown.
The webcam at the Siping Center is working great. Just go over to our site at Bringing Hope to Children, sponsor a child, and you can see the kids at the Center in real time.
