Li AiHua Doing Well After Surgery!

The doctors are surprised (and very pleased) at how well AiHua is doing since her surgery. She has had no fever, and is as playful and happy as normal. The only time she shows any signs of pain is when her surgical site is cleaned. She prefers to be standing, and is so excited to be the center of attention!

AiHua's recovery will be ongoing, as this surgery was only the first step in the procedures to help her attain normal function. She still has a long road ahead of her, but with the love and support of the nannies (and the good wishes from all of you!) we hope she will have an easy time.

We have some new photos to share, and will continue to update her page as we receive additional news.

WenBo - He Needs a Home

WenBo
WenBo has been at our Center since it first opened.  He was born with spina bifida and has had surgery.  Even though he is unable to walk he is still quite active and a very smart boy.  We have just added a new video of him to his page that was taken last week.  You will see what a great personality he has.  Unfortunately it seems that either his orphanage or the CCAA does not think he has any chance of being adopted so his file has not been sent out to any agency.  If his file is not sent out to an agency then he is not able to be adopted.

We will try once again to get his file released.  The older he gets the less likely the chance he will be adopted.

Keep Wen Bo in your prayers.  He is too precious a little boy to grow up without a family.

Fundraising Cookbook
Thanks to everyone who sent in recipes for our cookbook fund raiser.  We have received about 50 recipes of some really great sounding dishes but we need more.  To make it a viable fundraiser we need at least 50 more recipes.

It is really very simple to do.  Just go to the COOKBOOK page on our web site and enter your favorite recipe or recipes.  Send as many as you would like.  It doesn't mater if you think you are a great cook or not, just send us what your family likes.  We have had such wonderfully named recipes as Funky's Pub Potato Soup , Frog-eye Salad , and Czechoslovakian Cookies

So go to your kitchen, pull out that great recipe that the kids ask you to cook all the time and send it to us by CLICKING HERE!

You will be helping the kids in China and we can all have some fun doing it.

Thank You!

To those of you that have stepped forward to sponsor a child we want to say thank you although we know a thank you is just not enough for the generosity you have shown.

To those who have not yet sponsored a child we invite you to visit with these children at http://bringinghopetochildren.org/children/china.html. Take a look at the progress some of these children have made.  You can help this continue with a very small donation!

The webcam at the Siping Center is working great.  Just go over to our site at Bringing Hope to Children, sponsor a child, and you can see the kids at the Center in real time.
