Post Placement Reports

Please remember to send in your post placement reports as near the due dates as possible.

China:

All China post placement reports are due at 6 months and 12 months after your adoption is completed. These reports must be done by your social worker. The information about these reports and the cover sheet can be found on our site at http://iaapcenter.ipbhost.com .

Vietnam:

Your post placement reports are due every 6 months for the first three years after your adoption.  It is not necessary for these to be done by a social worker. We have the required form for you at http://iaapcenter.ipbhost.com.

After the first three years a report is due once a year until the child reaches the age of 18.

For those of you with overdue reports for Vietnam we must have them by February 4.  The Vietnamese government has asked us about overdue reports and are requiring they be sent immediately.

Siping Center Webcam is Working!

We now have our Siping Center Webcam working.
The camera will be on from 8:20pm EST till 8:50pm EST Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. During Daylight savings time the hours will change to 9:20pm EDT till 9:50pm EDT Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. We hope these hours will allow all time zones an opportunity to use the webcam. The webcam may be on other hours than this but these are the standard hours.

The webcam is free to everyone who is a sponsor of a child at either the Changchun or Siping Centers. To see how to sponsor a child simply go to Children in China and choose the child you would like to sponsor.  Click on the name of any of the children listed to see specific information about them and click on the donate button to sponsor a child.

After we receive your sponsorship of a child you will be sent a username and password to access the webcam.

We are also working on a webcam at the Changchun Center and hope to have it running soon.

Thank you all for your support!

IAAP Receives Certificate of Merit

On January 25 Tran Thi Hong Chau received a Certificate of Merit from Da Nang, Vietnam, on behalf of IAAP for our humanitarian efforts in Da Nang during 2007.  We are very honored to have received this award.  We want to say that most of the credit goes to Madame Chau.  We have worked with her for over 10 years now and those of you that have met her know that she puts all of her efforts into helping the children in the orphanages as well as others who are in need of assistance.  Without her our adoptions and our other work in Vietnam would not run nearly as smoothly as it does. So although the certificate says "IAAP" we know it should have had her name on it, too.

Join Us in Creating a Cookbook

We announced our cookbook fundraiser in our last email and the response has been...well...pitiful. Of the almost 3000 people that actually read the newsletter only 17 people went to the site to see how to enter a recipe and of those 17 only 6 have sent in a recipe.

We thought this would be a fun fundraiser for everyone to contribute.  It takes less than 10 minutes of your time to enter your favorite recipe.  You type it and just hit the submit button.  We do all the rest.

Once we have the book compiled and printed it will be available for you to purchase for yourself, for gifts or for friends.  All proceeds from the sales will go directly to help the children in our Changchun and Siping Centers.

Please take a look at it today.  We know you can all cook!  Send us several recipes.  Just CLICK HERE!  We invite everyone to participate.  If you have friends overseas, contact them and ask them to submit a recipe.  The more variety the better!
Waiting Children
Please check out our current waiting children.  You can see them at our site at http://iaapcenter.ipbhost.com

As always pass this information on to anyone that may be interested.

Thank You!

To those of you that have stepped forward to sponsor a child we want to say thank you although we know a thank you is just not enough for the generosity you have shown.

To those who have not yet sponsored a child we invite you to visit with these children at http://bringinghopetochildren.org/children/china.html. Take a look at the progress some of these children have made.  You can help this continue with a very small donation!

We have our webcam at the Siping Center working.  Just go over to our site at Bringing Hope to Children, sponsor a child, and you can be a participant.
