A great big thank you to everyone for making the fundraising for Tian Tian's surgery an overwhelming success.  Not only did you raise enough for her surgery, but also enough for any after care that may be needed due to any complications.  The total raised as of 6:00pm on  November 26, is $2955. 

 

Any funds remaining after her surgery, or any additional funds that come in, will be held in reserve for the next child needing medical care.  With the winter coming on in northern China there will be flu and other illnesses that the children must be treated for.  Already the temperatures have dipped as low as 3 degrees Fahrenheit.  They try to keep the children away from others during the winter but the staff come and go and have contact with the general public.

 

It was wonderful today to see the totals climb up to and beyond the $2000 mark.  Each of you will carry a little of Tian Tian in your hearts and she will know someday of your generosity.  The women who work at the center and those that they touch will also know the goodness of the American people. There really is nothing better than helping others.
