WOW!!!! - Incredible Response WOW!!! There is no other word but WOW!!! You are a group of incredible people. You saw a way to make a real difference in the life of Cao Xiao Cao and came through for him. In just 4 weeks you raised $16,400 for his adoption. That's right... $16,400. This is such a powerful example of what individuals working together can accomplish and how every donation helps no matter how small.
You each deserve a huge pat on the back for this one. Shelli will have enough funds to adopt Cao and may have some left over to help with medical care after he is home.
Thank you all for being so generous. |

Featured Waiting Child Wu ZhuangZhuang is a handsome little guy who was born on April 7, 2005. He is a typical 2 year old...running and playing with that look in his eyes that says, "What trouble can I get into next?". ZhuangZhuang has been diagnosed with spina bifida and has a 2cm x 2cm lump on his sacral bone (according to his medical report). Apparently no one has told him about this diagnosis, because he just goes about his days playing and climbing and jumping and running! ZhuangZhuang may be adopted by a couple under the age of 50 who are able to meet the requirements of the CCAA. His file is due to be sent back to the CCAA at the end of this month.
To see his medical information and the files of the other three children who are still waiting for their new families, please CLICK HERE . The files for all four of the children are due to be returned to the CCAA at the end of this month if we have not found families for them by then. If their files are returned, the CCAA will decide if they think the children are adoptable. If they feel the children have a chance to be adopted, they will send the files to another agency; if the children are older, or have a special need that makes them more difficult to place, the CCAA may decide to send the files back to the children's orphanage. At that point, the children lose any hope of ever having a family of their own. |

Post Placement Reports A reminder to everyone who has adopted from China or Vietnam about post placement reports.
China: You have agreed to provide two post placement reports, one at 6 months and one at 12 months, after your adoption.
Vietnam: You have agreed to provide a report every six months for three years after the adoption.
These reports are very important and must be turned in on time. Failure to provide these reports will jeopardize future adoptions from these countries. If you have any questions about what is required in the reports please contact us at iaap@iaapadoption.com. |
