One bright sunny day in Bel Air, Maryland Roger Moore (not the actor) was pulled over in his car and then ticketed by a policeman for not having his toddler secured in a car seat. The young man complained about the ticket while fastening his son into the appropriate restraint. He stuffed the ticket in the glove compartment. Nineteen minutes later, Mr. Moore and his young son were involved in an accident. The small toddler sustained a few minor injuries but was protected by the restraints of his car seat. Unfortunately, the father was killed. Although he complied with the warning to fasten his son's seat, Moore never buckled up his own.
James 1:23 says (if I may paraphrase) "Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who...died in a car accident in Bel Air, Maryland."
Listen, we demonstrate our true allegiance to God by our obedience to God's word. And the obedience driven life is the smart way to drive...
