Paperbark Maple- noted for its beautiful peeling bark, Acer griseum is a great tree for the small garden. Its foliage is dark green in summer changing to glorious orange/bricky red or buttery gold (depending on sun exposure) in the fall. Lots of bang for the bark!
 Acer japonicum 'Aconitifolium' is a bold and beautiful tree - in other words, a real show-off! The deeply dissected leaves of this beautiful maple create a rich texture in the landscape and it explodes into dramatic color come fall - red and orange tinged with purple and yellow.
 Chinese Dogwood 'Milky Way' is another exceptional small tree. The creamy white flowers of Cornus kousa make a big statement in a small space and it is not susceptible to disease which often affects native varieties.

VERONICA GEORGIA BLUE
This tough, versatile plant requires little maintenance. 'Georgia Blue' is willing to grow in sunny or shady spots, puts up with excessive rain or drought conditions and attracts butterflies with a low blanket of sky blue flowers from spring into summer. Small dark green leaves turn glossy burgundy in winter. Use it in containers or rock walls, or as a companion groundcover to spring bulbs under trees. This low-maintenance speedwell is adaptable to a variety of growing conditions and its sky blue flowers attract butterflies. We have it - come get it! |
