Olympic Babies
Yaletown Moms Stay Connected |
When you live in Downtown Vancouver the Olympics really are in your back yard. Hosting the world has meant some significant adjustments for the moms and babes in our Yaletown classes. The Roundhouse Arts & Recreation Centre, where most of our downtown classes are run, is closed for two months. Rather than shut classes down until the spring, we found an alternative location called Lilli'Q Cafe & Playhouse (Thank you Lilli'Q)
The moms have been real troopers as we adjust to a smaller space, carrying carseats upstairs, class time changes and minimalist equipment. The babies have been good sports too. It just goes to show you that when met with obstacles, women will still find a way to connect and build community.
One of the moms from class, Rachel, had the honor of running with the torch in Kamloops last week and brought her torch to class for some fun photos. See super cute babies surrounding said torch above.

What to Expect at Prenatal Fitness Fusion
by Melanie Osmack, Fit 4 Two |
Knowledge is power! Here is what you can expect at a Fit 4 Two® Prenatal Fitness Fusion class:
It is always a good idea to arrive 5 or 10 minutes early. This gives you time to use the facilities, fill your water bottle, sign in and ask questions. If it is your first class, we recommend coming 15 minutes early as you'll have some paper work to fill out. Don't forget your PAR-Med-X for Pregnancy form.
During the 15 minutes before class starts, your instructor will be greeting people and setting up the room. Feel free to help with set up or to ask questions. Once class has officially begun, your instructor will gather everyone for some introductions and begin a group warm-up. Don't let the step touches and hamstring curls scare you. We keep the choreography simple but effective.
