Tina Milano
Interim President & CEO
April is an exciting month for Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland, and it's not just the unusually warm March weather that jump started Spring and created a buzz around the office. We recently received big news. We were awarded a grant from the Leona M. and Harry B. Charitable Trust Fund to build a new pavilion at Camp Ho Mita Koda! This is a huge gift and we are honored to have been chosen as the recipients of this award. The pavilion is a major part of Camp Ho Mita Koda because it is used for so many camp activities. Its reconstruction will help the staff continue to provide high quality services to our campers and will continue to make Camp Ho Mita Koda a wonderful place.
In other exciting news, we have made it to Swim for Diabetes Month! The Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland staff has been busy planning and preparing for our largest fundraiser of the year, taking place at 49 pools across Northeast Ohio April 20, 21, and 22. Remember, you can still participate even if you do not swim. You can get involved with aquatics, land fitness, wellness programs or other kinds of family fun. We are also still looking for volunteers to help at the pools. Please call the Special Events Manager, Lori, at 216-591-0800 or visit the Swim for Diabetes website if you want to get involved.
As always, thank you for your continued support of Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland. I look forward to seeing you during the Swim for Diabetes weekend. |
