  • Do you know a school nurse who has made a difference in the care of students with diabetes?  Nominations are now being accepted for the  2012 Susan Kramer Excellence in School Nursing Award. To learn more about this award and download a nomination form, visit the camp website here. 

 

Education & Support:

 

  • Drop by the Diabetes Partnership office at 3601 S. Green Rd. Beachwood to Ask a Diabetes Educator every Friday from 10 to 11 AM and 2 to 3 PM. This friendly and open forum is for you to ask our experienced diabetes educators questions about diabetes or the prevention of diabetes. No appointment needed.   

 

  • Meet one on one with a registered nurse or registered dietician at Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland's office  to discuss your diabetes self-management plan! Office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Call 216-591-0800 to schedule an appointment today.
     

 

  • Take the New Year's Challenge with Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland and take charge of your diabetes. This 5 week class will help you start 2012 off on the right foot. This is a free program but you must register by calling 216-591-0800 and be able to commit to all 5 classes. Click here for a list of class dates and topics.

 

  • Diabetes Matters Empowerment Groups
    • The Euclid empowerment group will take place on December 19 at 6:45 pm-8:00 pm at the Euclid Public Library.
    • The Lakewood empowerment group will take place at Beck Center for the Arts on December 21 from 10:00 to 11:30 am.
    • The Cleveland empowerment group will not meet this month.

  • Freeway Lanes Bowling and Bocce Tournament has been postponed and rescheduled to February 11 and 12 at which time will only be a Bocce Tournament. Stay tuned for more details!
