Diabetes Ambassadors

Diabetes Ambassadors are trained to talk to other people, like friends, family, co-workers, and community or church groups, about diabetes.

They can help people understand Diabetes risk factors and symptoms. Ambassadors also talk about how diabetes can be controlled.

They help people touched by diabetes find a place where they can get answers about managing their diabetes.

Presentations take 30 minutes and can be provided in SPANISH or ENGLISH. Diabetes materials will be provided.

If you would like to have a

Diabetes Ambassador come to your group and talk about diabetes, contact Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland at 216-591-0800.

Tina Milano
Interim President & CEO

Tina Milano HeadshotWith the holidays rapidly approaching and the New Year right around the corner, it is with enthusiasm and optimism that the staff and members of the Board of Directors of the Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland embark on a new journey.

The Board of Directors and Helen Dumski have mutually agreed that Helen can best serve the organization in a role other than as President and Chief Executive Officer. Helen, who has had a long and highly valued association with Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland, will continue her employment as Vice President of the organization and she will focus on both fund raising and program development.

I have accepted the position of Interim President and CEO. My thirty-plus year long career in nonprofit management has been most enjoyable, productive and personally fulfilling.  During that time I have served as both an executive director and as a consultant to a number of nonprofit organizations located throughout the country. These organizations have included an arts-marketing program, a professional membership association, and local, statewide and national college access and success organizations.

My work has taken me to Europe, Canada and Alaska, where I have helped start programs and spoken at international conferences as well as provided testimony before congress.

I am happy to be part of the new and exciting changes that are taking place at Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland to continue and expand its mission of helping Clevelanders live well with diabetes. From everyone at Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland, we want to thank you for your commitment and long-standing support. Have a safe and happy holiday season!
