Camp Ho Mita Koda:

 

  • Registration for the summer 2012 Camp Ho Mita Koda season is now open! Visit our website for more information and to register.

June 16: Open House For All Ages

June 17-21: Session 1 Ages 8-12

June 24-28: Session 2 Ages 11-15

June 30: Mini Camp Ages 4-10 and Siblings and Parents. Overnight option available.

July 8-19: Session 3 Ages 12-15

July 22-26: Session 4 Ages 9-13

July 29-31: Session 5 Ages 6-10

 

  • Julia's Song Benefit, a fundraiser in memory of former camper Julia Matonis to benefit Camp Ho Mita Koda, will take place on Saturday November 12, 2011 at 6 PM at the Slovenian National Home 3563 E. 80th St. Cleveland 44105. There will be a buffet, open bar, silent auction, and sideboards.   • Do you know a school nurse who has made a difference in the care of students with diabetes?  Nominations are now being accepted for the  2012 Susan Kramer Excellence in School Nursing Award. To learn more about this award and download a nomination form, visit the camp website here.

  • Diabetes Matters Empowerment Groups
    • Euclid empowerment group will take place on October 17 from 6:45 to 8:00 pm at Euclid Public Library.
    • The Lakewood empowerment group will take place at Beck Center for the Arts on October 19 from 10:00 to 11:30 am.
    • The Cleveland empowerment group will take place on October 26 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Neighborhood Family Practice.

  • Registration for November's Medical Management Series is open. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to NOON at Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland. Call to register today at 216-591-0800.

 

 

  • Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland is partnering with University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital for a special diabetes event on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from noon to 4:00 pm at Cleveland Marriott East. Diabetes Discovery Day is an opportunity to learn about the latest advances in diabetes. Early Registration fee: $10 for a family of four, $5 for every individual after.   • "Fully Charged" Circus is coming to the Q NEXT week! Click here to purchase your tickets. Enter DAGC when prompted and $3 of every ticket will be donated to Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland.
  • Our 27th Annual Promenade "Masquerade Benefit" sponsored by the Cleveland Clinic will take place on October 29, 2011. Visit our website for more information. Sponsorships are available!

 

 

  • We are selling raffle tickets throughout the year for our Handmade "Rings of Hope" Double Wedding Ring Quilt. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Visit our website to order tickets and to see a photo of the quilt. Raffle drawing will be held at Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland's Promenade fundraiser October 29, 2011. You don't have to be present to win. 

 

  • Join us on December 10 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and December 11 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Freeway Lanes in Euclid for the first and largest Bowling and Bocce Tournament in the world. This tournament is filled with cash prizes, entertainment, and food and drink specials. Click here to register. 15 % of the tournament registration fee will be donated to Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland.    

 

  • Join us on December 13 and 14 from 4:00 PM to Midnight at Nautica Charity Poker Festival located at 2249 Elm Street, Cleveland 44113 for a charity poker tournament. Volunteer Texan Hold'em dealers are needed (no experience required). Call Lori at 216-591-0800 for more information.
