Helen M. Dumski, MA, RD, LD/President & CEO
As summer draws to a close and with fall just around the corner, it's time to start thinking about getting in a "back to school" routine. Although the start of a new school year brings excitement, it also means busy schedules. It is important to remember to make healthy decisions when you and your family are on the go. We are here to provide you with the tools and support you need to keep your diabetes (or a loved one's diabetes) in check. We continue to offer our free weekly classes every Tuesday on medical management and nutrition. We also have our Diabetes Fair coming up on October 6 at Embassy Suites Cleveland-Rockside. I encourage you to mark your calendar for this free event, which will focus on diabetes and your kidneys and offer ways to motivate you or your family to live well with diabetes. These opportunities are all part of our mission to ensure that you have the support you need to live well with diabetes. I wish you and your family a healthy and happy school year. |

If you have diabetes, you may stay sick longer from bad foods than someone who doesn't have diabetes. Or, your body may take longer to fight off an illness. Click here for some simple way to keep you and your family safe |
