Education & Support:

  

  • Diabetes Matters Empowerment Group at the Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood will take place August 17 from 10:00 to 11:30 am. Call Siri at 216-591-0800 for  more information.

 

  • Heinen's health talk about healthy nutrition with diabetes will take place at Heinen's grocery store in Chardon on September 18 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Call Siri at 216-591-0800 for more information.

 

  • Registration for September's Medical Management Series is open. Classes are held every Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland. Call to register today at 216-591-0800.

 

  • There will be a Diabetes Health Fair on October 6 at Embassy Suites Cleveland - Rockside from 12:30 to 4:00 pm. This health fair is FREE but registration is required by Friday, September 30th. Register by phone at 216-591-0800.  
 
Camp Ho Mita Koda:
 
  • Thanks to our campers, staff, and supporters for a great summer season! Click here to see pictures of the fun times at Camp this summer.  
  • Camp Ho Mita Koda will hold a Fall Bicycle Ride on Saturday, September 17 along the Towpath Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The ride is open to anyone over age 12. Dr. Doug Rogers will lead the 24-mile-long ride beginning at 10:00 am. The fee is $5.00 per rider. Pre-registration is required.Call 216-591-0800 or visit www.CampHoMitaKoda.org for more details.

  • India Festival USA 2011 to benefit Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland will take place on September 10, from 12:00 to 8:00 pm at Independence Middle School. Click here for more information.

 

  • Blue Knights Ohio XV is hosting its 22nd Annual Benefit Ride in memory of Mark Laccheo. The event takes place on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Camp Ho Mita Koda. Lunch and snacks will be provided. The cost is a $15 donation for drivers and $10 donation for riders. All proceeds will support the Camp Ho Mita Koda Campership fund.   • We are selling raffle tickets throughout the year for our Handmade "Rings of Hope" Double Wedding Ring Quilt. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Visit our website to order tickets and to see a photo of the quilt. Raffle drawing will be held at Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland's Promenade fundraiser October 29, 2011.
