DAGC Dialogue Jacquie Dickinson, President & CEO
Welcome to the first issue of the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland's e-newsletter, Diabetes Matters. We hope that through this publication, you will be able to learn a little more about what we do here in northeast Ohio and perhaps take away some helpful information to make your life and the lives of those you love healthier.
Everything has a beginning and ending, and so it is with the launch of Diabetes Matters. As you receive this first e-newsletter, I will be cleaning off my desk and tying up the loose ends of my 26-year career here at DAGC. I have watched DAGC continue to grow, reach out and fill the needs of so many people in our community with diabetes. I may be retiring from the day-to-day tasks at DAGC, but I will still be in touch with the good work this organization does. I will be leaving the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland in the very capable hands of our current Vice President and COO Helen Dumski, who will take the reins as our new CEO as of January 1.
Thank you for your interest in and support of DAGC. On behalf of the DAGC staff, I wish you a safe, healthy and happy holiday season. |
Beyond Diabetes Awareness Month...
November was Diabetes Awareness Month, but awareness doesn't stop there. The Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland continues its role of raising awareness and educating those in our community about diabetes. Most of us know someone who has been touched by diabetes in some way. Learn to recognize the signs of diabetes... | |
