Call for Nominees - Distinguished Teaching Award
2007 Distinguished Teacher David Goldstein

Each year one faculty member is selected to receive the UW Bothell Distinguished Teaching Award. Any member of the UW Bothell community - students, alumni, faculty, staff - may nominate an eligible faculty member for this prestigious award that recognizes truly exceptional teaching.

Dr. David Goldstein, lecturer in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences, recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Teaching Award, spoke at the Choice Words event on Oct. 25.

Deadline to submit nominations is
Fri. Dec. 14 at 5 p.m.

Career Discovery Week 2008It's coming
Jan. 28 - Feb. 2, 2008!

Careers will be discovered with more than 100 workshops, panel presentations, networking events and fairs. It's the largest event of its kind in the country - hundreds of UW alumni and friends volunteer to return to all three UW campuses to assist their fellow Huskies with their career development.

Trackin' the Dawgs - Alumni Class Notes
UW Bothell Alumni

Miko Robertson (MAPS '04) is now the Program Manager at Harborview Medical Center's education/research department for Allergy and Infectious Diseases. She will be overseeing the budget and daily operations for pre-doc and post-doc research training positions.

In September Karen Tellevik-Story (Bus. '04) presented at the national Healthcare Internal Auditors conference in San Diego on Sarbanes Oxley implementations at non-profit healthcare organizations. She also recently became a Certified Internal Auditor.

Jenelle Van Eynde (IAS '04, MAPS '05) has accepted a position with an African IT company, SocketWorks Global. She is the Executive Assistant to the Group President/CEO of Socketworks Global, Ghana.

Andi Smith (MAPS '05) has taken the position as Research Analyst for the House Higher Education Committee. Her primary responsibility will be to provide individual members and committees with policy research and analysis, including bill and amendment drafting.

Dani Burhop (MAPS '06) has accepted a position as the new research associate at Elway Research in Seattle. She will be working on communications research and data analysis, and on projects related to government accountability.

Eden Bossom (MAPS '07) has taken a position as Area Administrator in the Resident Services department with the King County Housing Authority. Her duties will include needs assessments, program development, implementation and evaluation, and negotiating contracts.

Anindita Mukerjee (MAPS '07) has entered the Portland State University PhD program in Public Policy and Planning.
