Welcome to The Chamber Communique, the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce's (SSPC) monthly electronic newsletter. Our goal is to keep you informed about everything going on with the Chamber and the Sandy Springs/Perimeter business community. If you have any questions or comments, please let us know. sspcsmall Join us for Networking @ Noon this Thursday, February 24 from 11:15-1:00 p.m. at Nancy G's Cafe in Sandy Springs. Click here to register in advance. The price pay at the door is $18 and includes your meal, beverage, tax and gratuity. Networking @ Noon is an excellent way to make new business contacts while networking wish your chamber friends!

Sandy Springs Mayor Eva Galambos will deliver her State of the City address on Monday, February 28 during the chamber's Bagels & Business meeting at the Westin Atlanta North. The meeting begins at 7:30 a.m. with networking and coffee and ends at 9:00 a.m. Click here to register for this meeting now.

Save the date for the chamber's Golf Tournament coming up on April 15!

Register today for the chamber's 3rd annual Business Expo coming up on Friday, May 6! This year's Expo will be at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center from 8:00-3:00 p.m. Member booths are just $400 and Non-Members booths are $650 (this includes one-year of chamber membership!)     Nominate a Spotlight on Business
    spotlight Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber selects a business each month to highlight, and yours could be next!

    Recent winners include: Robert M. Rosner, CLU, Jones & Co. Video Services, Fitness Together North Buckhead and Nancy G's Cafe. Businesses with news, such as a grand opening or a special event, are encouraged to apply to be a "Spotlight on Business". Winners are posted on the Chamber Web Site for the month, included in this monthly e-mail, featured in Sandy Springs Living and announced to the local media.

    The 400 Club
    400club Join the 400 Club this Thursday, February 24 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Taco Mac in the Prado Sandy Springs. Pub nights are free for 400 Club or chamber members and guests are welcome to attend for just $7. Taco Mac is located in The Prado at 5600 Roswell Road.

    Become a fan of The 400 Club on facebook to stay up to date on what events and activities we have planned- we'd love to see you at our next event!

    Chamber members who fall into the 24-39 year old age category enjoy complimentary membership in the 400 Club. Non-chamber members who wish to participate in the 400 Club will be charged dues of $25/year. Contact Lindsay at the chamber for more information.

    Small Business Council
    sbcsmall Small Business of the Year nomination forms are now available. Click here to download a form and nominate the business you think deserves to win! All award winners and nominees will be recognized during the chamber's Small Business of the Year Awards breakfast in April at the Westin Atlanta North.     What's Happening with Chamber Members
    Keep North Fulton Beautiful will hold a Document Shredding Event & Book Drive this Saturday, February 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held at the Sandy Springs Recycling Center located at 470 Morgan Falls Road. There is no charge to shred documents but donations will be accepted! Learn more about this event by visiting www.knfb.org.

    Ambassador of the Month
    brett The SS/PC Ambassadors selected Brett Goodnough as the Ambassador of the Month for January. Brett has been actively involved in the Ambassadors program for the past 2 years and in January he assumed a position on the Chamber Board of Directors. Congratulations Brett on being named Ambassador of the Month and thank you for all of your efforts on behalf of the Chamber!

    Brett Goodnough is a native of North Carolina and an avid fan of UNC's sports program. Brett has been married for 34 years and has one son. He and his family moved to Atlanta in 1986. Brett spent 30 years of his career in Information Technology. He left that field to become a licensee with Culture Index where he works with executives in resolving one of their biggest challenges; managing talent effectively. He works with C-Level Executives who are struggling with employee performance to help them understand what drives their people, their motivations, strengths and weaknesses. Armed with this understanding, they can then better manage the bottom line while maximizing top line growth.

    Brett's hobbies include: reading, cooking on a smoker, and playing his clarinet and saxophone. He is also an active member at his church.

    Women's Business Network
