 Duso's May Skater of the  Month
Congratulations Taylor Lassiter of the Bassano Skating Club! Taylor is a STARSkater who skates 5 days a week. She inspires others and is a great role model in her role as a program assistant. Outside the rink, Taylor is a talented artist. When not skating, she can be found painting the backdrops for Club Carnivals. Congratulations Taylor on being selected as Duso's May Skater of the Month!
Duso's June Skater of the Month
 Congratulations Cassidy Stromberg of the Grovedale Figure Skating Club!
Cassidy is the sole competitive skater at the Grovedale Figure Skating Club. Over the past year, she has been part of the Alberta Winter Games and Arctic Winter Games Team, as well as recently passing her Novice test. When Cassidy isn't training or competing, she is busy helping other skaters as a program assistant. Her hard work and dedication make her a positive role model. Congratulations Cassidy on being selected as Duso's June Skater of the Month!

Duso's May Helping Hand of the Month
Congratulations Lee Brunet of the Chestermere Skating Club!  Lee has been involved with the Chestermere Skating Club for the past 8 years, undertaking such roles as club President, fundraising coordinator, and marketing director. Lee's commitment and dedication to the world of skating as a coach, athlete and volunteer has been tremendous and she is incredibly deserving of this recognition!

 Congratulations Carrie Wohlgemuth of the Grovedale Figure Skating Club!
Carrie undertakes many roles in the Section, volunteering her time as the Peace Region Representative for Skate Canada: Alberta-NWT/Nunavut, as well as the Delegate and Publicity Chair for her club. She has dedicated many years as a volunteer and it is our pleasure to recognize Carrie as the June Helping Hand of the Month recipient!

On June 9, 2012, Skate Canada Official Karen Penrice began her 180 km journey across Central Alberta with her team Leathered Up, to raise money for multiple sclerosis. Karen raised $1,140, surpassing her $300.00 goal. Congratulations Karen on a fantastic job!
